This lithograph was designed for Calder’s exhibition of stationary metal sculptures at the Maeght Foundation in Saint Paul de Vence, France. This exhibition included both interior and exterior sculptural works, mobile and stationary, typical of his iconic style.

In 1964, Aimé created San Paul De Vence the Fondation of Marguerite and Aimé Maeght .The Fondation was the first private museum built in France for Contemporary Art and the first place created with the collaboration of many artists.
