Striking landscape print titled Barks Lake (Wisconsin), numbered 83/130 and signed by artist Daniel Lang. This print was likely done in 1970’s as Lang honed his prints on American landscapes. Coloration is complex, complete with mustard yellow  with red and brown undertones, a warm interpretation of a likely fall/winter season given the stickly tree details. 

Daniel Lang was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1931, sometimes noted as 1935. Lang attended Northwestern University and received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tulsa. His postgraduate studies include a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Iowa, four Yaddo Fellowships, and two MacDowell Colony Fellowships. The cosmopolitan painter Lang based his invented landscapes on sketches and snapshots from his worldwide travels. Rolando Bellini calls his paintings “intellectual autobiographies.”

International public collections include the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, England, and the Hunterian Art Gallery, University of Glasgow, Glasgow, Scotland. Lang has had solo exhibitions in art galleries in Belgium, England.
